Presenter Kate Lawler, who has been hosting the networked late show across Bauer’s City Network, has moved on.
She’s heading to London for new opportunities, but will continue to host the voice-tracked breakfast show on Kerrang! Radio.
The former Big Brother contestant joined Kerrang! in the West Midlands for breakfast in 2007 and has stayed with Bauer ever since. When Kerrang! changed to Planet Rock in 2013 Kate moved to Manchester to work across the network and started recording Kerrang!’s breakfast show.
Group Content Director for Bauer City Network Owen Ryan told RadioToday.co.uk: “Kate Lawler has been a huge part of the team at Bauer City North West & Yorkshire and has always thrown herself into anything that’s been asked of her.
“Kate’s last show (was) on Thursday 28th May before she heads down to London to pursue some great new opportunities. She will still remain part of the Bauer Radio family as she continues to host her Kerrang! Radio Breakfast show each morning.”
There’s no news on Kate’s replacement, or what her new opportunities are, but we’ll be sure to let you know once we find out.
