UKRD’s Sunderland radio station Sun FM has had a busy week of competitions, with both its Secret Sound and Thousand Pound Minute being won.
Donna Green from Pallion took the £2,200 prize for identifying Sunderland’s Secret Sound, while Lyndsey Owen from Seaham (pictured) won £1,000 on the quickfire quiz. Both say they’re taking their families abroad for the first time in years.
Programme Director and Breakfast Show presenter, Simon Grundy said: “It’s brilliant that we can make dreams come true like this. Many people haven’t had a holiday for years, as it’s the first thing to go when budgets get tight, but these 2 lovely local ladies are going to treat their families to dream trips to Spain & Italy, and I couldn’t be happier for them.”
