Full review at Hospital Broadcasting Association

The HBA is under-going a full review of the operation and structure of the organisation following the resignation of the Chair.

Jim Simpson has stepped down due to his current personal circumstances and commitments but continues to be part of the organisation.

Also, the Trustees announced that they had successfully bid for funding for an externally-facilitated full review of the operation and structure of the organisation focusing on what HBA needs deliver to its constituent membership.

An update to station members says: “We are now part way through that extensive review of the work HBA does, facilitated by an external consultant who has a track record of change management. Once our deliberations are concluded the Trustees will launch a consultation on the outcome and detail our proposals for the HBA going forward.”

An interim Chairperson has now been appointed until the AGM next year, which was taken on by Grant McNaughton. In addition, Iain Lee (not the BBC presenter) has accepted an invitation to re-join the Trustee Board until next year’s AGM.
