JACK fm helps to bury a listener’s dad

JACK fm doesn’t usually do requests but this particular one was too good not to help out with.

Vincent Vass called in to JACK fm Berkshire’s Morning Glory with Robin Banks and asked if he could arrange for his dad’s ashes to be buried in the actual turf at Madejski stadium.

This has not happened at the Madejski stadium for 4 years, but following a number of calls to the ground’s bosses, a date was set, and Vincent and his family were invited onto the pitch with the urn, and were given a moment to spread the ashes, and say their goodbyes during an emotional ceremony.

Listener Vincent couldn’t believe his dream came true. “I was really impressed with what Reading FC and also what Robin and the Morning Glory team at JACK fm Berkshire have done for us. It was above and beyond what I expected.”

The event was attended by host Robin Banks, who was proud to be part of something special for one of his listeners: “It just proves that it’s not all just about talking rubbish and playing AC/DC whenever I can… Jack fm Berkshire’s changing lives, and doing something special, and I’m so proud that I could help out with this. Imagine if Reading go up this season!!!??”
