KM Chair Geraldine Allinson joins Radiocentre

Radiocentre has appointed KM Media Group Chairman, Geraldine Allinson to its Board.

Geraldine has been Chairman of KM since 2006 and has over 30 years of local media experience. She replaces Gregory Watson.

Radiocentre CEO, Siobhan Kenny said: “Geraldine’s experience in a multimedia business will be a significant boon to Radiocentre as the organisation continues to push forward. Geraldine will be an invaluable asset to the Board, taking it from strength to strength.” Kenny thanked Gregory Watson, MD of Folder Media, who Geraldine succeeds on the Board, for his enormous contribution to the work of Radiocentre.

Geraldine Allinson says: “I am delighted to be joining the dynamic Board at Radiocentre.  At KM Group, we understand the important contribution commercial radio makes to local communities.   I look forward to furthering the case for the industry as part of the Radiocentre Board.”

Geraldine Allinson has also been President of the Newspaper Society (2011-2012) and is currently a Non-Executive Director of the PA Group. She is a Trustee of the Canterbury Festival, The Battle of Britain Memorial Trust, the Kent Board of the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance and Patron of the Canterbury and District Recorder.

She is also a Governor of the Leigh Academy in Dartford, an Honorary Fellow of Canterbury Christchurch University (2012) and an Honorary Graduate of the University of Kent (2014).
