Radio X kicks off new television advertising
Global has launched a new Radio X advertising campaign, which breaks during the opening match of Euro 2016.
The ad will air during France vs Romania this evening – Friday June 10th.
Global won the sponsorship of the Euro 2016 highlights show on ITV, which runs from Sunday June 12th until Sunday July 10th. The sponsorship will be supported by 30 second TV spots throughout the tournament as well as VOD and a cinema campaign.
Set in the barbershop “On Hair”, the ad follows Radio X presenters Chris Moyles, Vernon Kay, Johnny Vaughan and Ricky Wilson as they are let loose on real and unsuspecting members of the public, attempting to cut, shave, dye and clip their hair with varying degrees of success.
Adam Johnson, director of marketing at Global, said: “The iconic British barbershop is a great backdrop for our new Radio X ad featuring Chris, Vernon, Johnny and Ricky. While we were spoilt for choice with material, it’s fair to say these four are better DJs than they are barbers. We’re delighted to be sponsoring ITV’s Euro highlights show alongside a heavyweight TV, VOD and cinema plan.”
Mr President created the ad with Global and PHD planned and bought the media.
