Former breakfast show presenter Gerald Main is heading back to BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.
Gerald is returning to the station where he spent the nineties waking up the people of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to host Saturday mornings 9am till 12pm.
Speaking of his new show, Gerald said: “It’s fantastic to be going back to a place where I had so much fun and to work with such a talented team. I’m looking forward to it.”
Gerald was formerly managing editor at BBC Radio Suffolk and more recently at BBC Essex. Having completed 35 years at the BBC, he has spent his time as a freelance broadcaster and radio skills trainer since he left last year.
David Harvey, managing editor of BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, said: “Twenty years on, there’ll be many who’ll welcome the return of a favourite voice – but I’m also confident that a new generation will discover a really warm and engaging presenter for the first time. We’re excited to have Gerald back on board.”
Gerald starts his new show this weekend, 9th July.
