Global entertainment reporter Kevin Hughes is taking over Drive on Heart in South Wales, replacing Jason Harrold.

He started his radio career in Wales and is looking forward to returning home. He says: “I’m really excited to return to my presenting roots and I’m looking forward to working with the brilliant team at Heart Wales and to broadcasting across my home country once again.”

Kevin previously presented “Total Access” on Capital FM and the “Music Control” network evening show on the GCap One Network. He began at BBC Radio Wales hosting the evening show and Welsh Top 40, after he won Best Male Presenter at the Student Radio Awards.

He also presents the UK Hit Music Chart Show for stations worldwide including Virgin Radio in Canada, provides artist media training and has hosted several album launches for Sony Music and Syco Records.

Previous presenter Jason Harrold has been on Heart Drive since it launched in 2014, and was on Real Radio Drive before that from 2012. Prior to that he spent 16 years at Red Dragon, mostly on breakfast or mid-morning. He’s now on Heart weekends.
