Hourly radio station news provider Radio NewsHub has sent two of its team to Atlanta to cover the US Election for its client stations.
Director Jamie Fletcher and reporter Rachel Richter will be delivering bulletins throughout the day on Tuesday and through the night, with a result expected in the early hours of Wednesday UK time.
Jamie and Rachel will be based at the iconic Manuel’s Tavern in Atlanta, Georgia as the results come in, the very same place where Jimmy Carter watched the primaries, launched a campaign there in the 70s and Obama visited last year. Bill Clinton also campaigned there as part of this year’s campaign.
Director Stephanie Otty said: “The long-running U.S. election campaign has been one of the most volatile in American history with each candidate accusing the other of lacking the character and judgment to be president. We could not miss out on the opportunity to have our reporters out the States as the drama comes to a conclusion.”
Radio NewsHub’s service of news, sport, showbiz, business, weather and more is available on News Radio UK, the UK’s 10 minute rolling news service, along with all of their client stations in the UK and abroad.
