David Prever moves to breakfast at Radio Oxford

BBC Radio Oxford is swapping its breakfast and drive presenters around.

David Prever will move to Breakfast from March 6th whilst Howard Bentham takes over Drivetime from March 13th.

David will be joined on the programme by Sophie Law with the latest news, Al Ryan with regular travel updates and Lilley Mitchell, who’ll be out on the road doing interviews each morning.

Former Smooth, Metro, Hereward, Heart, Magic and LBC presenter David said: “I’m fifty this year, so it’s a good a time as any for a new challenge. The team at BBC Radio Oxford are some of the most talented people I’ve ever worked with.

“There will be plenty of conversation and interaction, plus everything you need to start the day right; news, travel and weather – something for everyone that cares about where they live. My children are pleased too; after four years on Drivetime I’ll be home in time for bed!”

Tim Boswell, Editor, BBC Radio Oxford said: “The new programme will be packed full of personality and passion for Oxfordshire. David is a brilliant broadcaster and his new show will be a must-listen for everyone who lives and works here. I’d like to thank Howard for all his hard work on the Breakfast show over the past two years and I’m really happy that he’ll remain part of the BBC Radio Oxford line-up.”

Charles Nove will continue to present the early breakfast show from 6 till 7am. David will host 7-10am and Drive is 4-7pm.
