Neil Fox turned down radio job offer at Global

Former Magic and Capital presenter Neil Fox has revealed he turned down a job offer at Global after leaving Bauer.

Details of the particular job are unknown, but Foxy, talking to David Lloyd in the Conversations podcast, said Richard Park offered him a job in December 2015 after his contract was not renewed at Magic during his recent court case. Bauer said it had already made plans to take Magic in a different direction by the time Neil was acquitted.

In September 2016, Neil appeared on This Morning and was asked by host Philip Schofield if Bauer was supportive throughout the ordeal, Neil said the word supportive may be a little “over statement”.

Talking about the offer of employment at Global, Foxy said: “Parky was the first to offer me a job but it was going to take slightly longer [to get on the radio] and someone else came along with something which was going to be starting sooner.”

That something else was to join the new London DAB station Thames Radio where he now hosts the weekday breakfast show.
