Jazz FM creates pop-up online radio for lovers
Jazz FM and eHarmony have partnered to create Jazz FM Loves – a radio station and online experience running until Valentine’s Day.
Jazz FM Loves features an online hub with relationship advice from eHarmony and a contest to win 12 months subscription plus, as a first for Jazz FM, a curated 24/7 stream.
The online pop-up station features romantic and sentimental jazz, soul and blues. This music selection is also reflected as a special nightly programme 10pm Monday to Thursday evenings until Valentines Day. The programme features special guest hosts including Mica Paris who hosted the first four days.
Both on air and online output features specially commissioned content with eHarmony success stories and words of wisdom from an eHarmony Dating Expert.
The partnership – brokered by Claire Stacey (Jazz FM’s Investment Director) and Sarah Greaney (Media Manager from PHD) – is a first for Jazz FM incorporating a branded pop-up station alongside on-air and online content.
Jazz FM Content Director Nick Pitts said “Love songs are not just for the mainstream – Jazz holds so much untapped romance and sentiment. The tracks we have chosen for this partnership will captivate our listeners and anyone who comes to experience Jazz FM Loves both on-air and online.”
Claire Stacey said: “We pride ourselves on a creative approach and we are really excited about the next 14 days. The fact that we’ve been able to come up with something that reaches across all of our platforms in such an integrated and focused way, working with the innovative eHarmony team, shows that Jazz FM will go above and beyond to create something unique for our partners.”
eHarmony’s Rachael Lloyd adds “‘We’re delighted to be part of Jazz FM Loves hosted by some great presenters, including the talented Mica Paris. At eHarmony we bring the right people together via our unique compatibility system. For some, love might seem like an old fashioned term, but joining forces with Jazz FM we want to reclaim love and celebrate it in style.’
