Radio Essex has appointed its Drive Time and former Capital and Heart presenter Chris Brooks as Programme Controller.
Chris will remain on-air and work towards changing the station to a new hit music format.
He will step down from his own company, Ear Candy, as Managing Director but will remain a non-executive director.
Chris says: “This is an amazing opportunity to help the station work towards creating a Hit Music brand that is well and truly for Essex. We have an amazing team here both on and off air and I am looking forward to using my experience in this market to help steer the station to new heights.”
Operations Director for Adventure Radio – who own Radio Essex – Mark Jeeves added: “Essex is a great radio market and we look forward to Chris driving the station to achieve the audience levels we know are possible through his passion and energy”.
Chris takes on his new role from today, Monday 10th July.
