Dave Cash got the send-off he wanted by having his ashes scattered off the LV18 ship into the ocean.
Johnnie Walker poured Dave’s ashes into the sea while his widow Sara threw roses.
The former pirate radio presenter died at the age of 74 in October last year.
Dave has worked in the UK radio industry for as long as it has existed, and has been with Radio Luxembourg, Radio London, BBC Radio 1, Capital Radio, Country 1035 and Primetime Radio. He was also launch Programme Controller at Radio West.
He’s well known for his pairing with Kenny Everett, hosting the Kenny & Cash Show on the radio for many years, originally in 1965, plus his Cash on Delivery programme.
