Pat Sharp joins Norwegian radio station P8

Pat Sharp is taking over two weekend shows on P8 Pop in Norway, the national pop station broadcasting on DAB+.

P8 Pop is a part of Modern Times Group who also house stations like P4, Norway’s biggest commercial radio station, and a variety of other full-service stations for hits, country, oldies, rock and more.

Espen Thorpe from the station tells us: “P8 Pop is all about the biggest hits from 80s. We have many Norwegian radio personalities on air, and now we are VERY happy to welcome the decade-legend Mr Pat Sharp to our station.

“Pat is a big icon to very many Norwegians who watched Sky Channel in the 80s. It is therefore with great joy we now announce that Pat Sharp is going to be broadcasting on P8 Pop every Saturday and Sunday from 3pm-6pm, Norway time (2pm-5pm UK time).

Pat has been on a number of stations recently, including My Music Radio, Thames Radio and Dragon Radio, since leaving full-time presentation at Smooth Radio in 2013 shortly after Global taking control.

@Joe Smith – and what is wrong with that per say? From what I can see home recording facilities are rivalling a lot of commercial installations these days. Quality has never been better. Also didn’t Kenny Everett record a lot of his material from domestic locations back in the 70s and 80s?
