BBC Radio 5 live launches weather podcast
BBC Radio 5 live has begun a new podcast about weather, hosted by meteorologists Simon King and Clare Nasir.
Under The Weather will also air early on a Saturday morning on the station.
Simon is a regular voice on 5 live breakfast and BBC Radio Manchester, while Clare is best known for nearly a decade as a forecaster on GMTV. She has also worked for the BBC, ITV regions and Channel 5.
A BBC spokesperson said: Simon and Clare love the weather, and spend their days analysing data to forecast what’s happening in the atmosphere. In Under The Weather they will be exploring what influences our weather. They will be joined by a range of experts to tackle some of weather’s most interesting and challenging questions. Could climate modification save the planet? What does rain smell like? And where is the UK’s tornado valley? Not forgetting, what weather is most likely to kill you?”
Under the Weather will be released as a podcast on Mondays and air on 5 live on Saturdays at 5.30am.
