Singer-songwriter China Moses is joining Jazz FM from Monday 26th March after a guest appearance on the 2017 Christmas schedule and recently co-hosting the Jazz FM Awards Nominations event.
China, who has recently released her 6th studio album, will be hosting the weeknight “Jazz FM Loves” programme as eHarmony.co.uk have announced that they are extending their commercial sponsorship of the strand for a further 12 months.
Jazz FM Loves is a two-hour programme from 10 until midnight, Monday to Thursday celebrating romantic and sentimental jazz music. Current presenter Loretta Andrews is leaving the station.
Content Director Nick Pitts said: “To have China joining the line-up alongside multi Grammy® Award winning musician-cum-presenter Marcus Miller and other Jazz FM broadcasting legends like Helen Mayhew, Jez Nelson and Jeff Young is a really exciting prospect and adds another dynamic to our already expert-driven presenting team.”
China Moses says “Jazz FM has opened its doors to me as an artist. Their support has been very important in my UK career. Now I am very excited to be on the other side, joining the highly talented and passionate staff, and sharing with the listener, the sensual and romantic side of Soul Jazz and of course a bit of Funk.”
And of the continuation of the programme partnership, Romain Bertrand, UK Country Manager at eharmony says: “We’re delighted to progress our second partnership with Jazz FM. Through working closely with their enthusiastic team, we’ve managed to connect with a sophisticated and passionate audience, who reflect many of our own brand values. Adding a high note to the new partnership is the news that super-talented singer China Moses will now be hosting Jazz FM Loves with eharmony.”
Nick added “I would like to thank Loretta Andrews who has done a sterling job in getting the programme to where it is”. Loretta will be leaving Jazz FM to continue to concentrate on her other broadcasting projects.
