Wireless Group has hired former Century Radio, Capital and GCap executive Jo Bucci as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Reporting to CEO Scott Taunton, she’ll oversee various aspects of News UK’s radio division, including the regional stations in the UK and Ireland.
Most recently Jo has been Managing Director of The People’s Postcode Lottery, but previously spent more than a decade working in commercial radio sales and management.
She was an Agency Account Manager for GWR and Emap in the late 90s, before becoming Managing Director at Century Radio in Nottingham in 2000. From 2002 to 2005 Jo was Group Commercial Managing Director for the Capital Radio group, before going on to do the same role for GCap Media. After leaving radio she was Deputy Chief Executive at Leicester City FC.

Separately, News UK has also appointed a new Group Chief Commercial Officer. Dominic Carter will be in charge of all national advertising revenue for News UK and Wireless Group operations in the UK and Ireland.
