Paul Gambaccini’s UK tour, aimed at celebrating his 45th working anniversary, has been postponed.
Paul says he has been living with shingles for the past month and this is the reason for the sudden decision, taken just hours after he promoted the tour on Radio 2 with Steve Wright and after a double page feature appeared in the Radio Times.
Promoter Norwell Lapley Productions confirmed the tour will be rescheduled and the individual venues will handle refunds for anyone who has bought a ticket.
Gambo was due to host 21 nights for ‘An Evening With The Great Gambo’ starting on 6th April in Horsham at The Capitol Theatre, ending up on 5th May at The Lighthouse in Cromer.
An Evening With The Great Gambo – The Professor of Pop would have seen him share his lifetime experiences and stories including clips of some of the artists he has known and worked with.

Best wishes, Paul, for a speedy recovery.
Sorry to hear this, Gambo. I’ve had shingles – it’s no fun. Hope you recover soon.
