Bridge FM, Swansea Bay Radio, Radio Carmarthenshire, Radio Pembrokeshire and Radio Ceredigion are back onboard for this year’s Local Radio Day.
Group Managing Director, Martin Mumford, said on confirming Nation Broadcasting’s involvement for a third successive year: “The Award-winning initiative Local Radio Day helps highlight to opinion formers the great work our local stations play in their respective areas for listeners and local businesses.”
Local Radio Day provides a platform for “proper” local radio stations to come together and celebrate local radio itself and the engagement it has with the people, communities and areas it broadcasts to.
William Rogers, UKRD’s Chief Executive Officer added: “I am delighted, that in just three short years Local Radio Day has grown into an annual industry event that sees so many like-minded radio operators unite and celebrate this important part of the radio industry”.
More than 50 local radio stations, including those owned and operated by Nation Broadcasting and UKRD are now signed up to participate in this year’s initiative, all of whom will receive a bespoke Local Radio Day production package, logos and additional support from UKRD. Anybody working at a local radio station and wanting to participate in the day should contact UKRD’s Group Content Director, Dave Coull (dave.coull@ukrd.com).
