Next Radio industry conference cancelled for 2019

The annual Next Radio conference will not be taking place in 2019 as the organisers take a temporary break.

The event has been running each year since 2011 but a note on the official website currently says: “We’re thinking about the best way to do Next Radio in our changing radio industry. So, we’re taking a rest year in 2019.”

Next Radio 2019 was going to happen on September 23rd but will no longer be taking place.

All the videos from previous years are online to watch, and anyone interested in the future of the event is encouraged to sign up to the Next Radio newsletter which will let you know about plans for an event in 2020.

Next Radio is organised by Matt Deegan and James Cridland, but both were unavailable for comment when contacted by RadioToday.

I’m hardly surprised. The way things are going there’ll only be a handful of stations left!
