Panjab Radio is launching across London on 558AM this Thursday August 1st, swapping its 1584AM North London frequency with Love Sport.
Permission was granted by Ofcom earlier this year for the change, and will see Panjab increase coverage to the same levels as rivals Sunrise Radio and Lyca.
Panjab Radio currently broadcasts on national DAB, digital television, online and on 1584AM in North London.
Surjit Singh Ghuman MBE, Managing Director of Panjab Radio, told RadioToday: “It gives me great pleasure to confirm that we will begin broadcasting throughout Greater London on our new frequency on 1st August 2019 at midday.
“This is a new chapter in the life of Panjab Radio and I would like to thank both our listeners and customers who have supported Panjab Radio every step of the way and of course my hard working committed team.
Love Sport will move to 1584AM on the same day.

I think this is the first time I’ve heard of a station voluntarily reducing its broadcasting area. Love Sport must be absolutely tanking in the rajar figures. I’d lay a few quid on the plug being pulled altogether by this time next year.
Love Sport up to three listeners now I hear.
Lovesport. Another failure for kelvin.
