Christian Smith returns to Global from Virgin Radio

Christian Smith is to re-join Global from Virgin Radio and Al Smith has been appointed Managing Editor at Capital XTRA.

Christian has been appointed as Music Programmer for Global, having previously been Head of Music at Capital before joining Virgin in the same role. He was later made Group Head of Music at Wireless.

Before joining Capital, he was at KISS in London for over a decade.

Also, Al Smith steps up from his current role as Deputy Managing Editor of Capital XTRA and Head of Music – Capital Brand to become to Managing Editor of Capital XTRA.

Al also takes on a wider remit as Senior Music Programmer, overseeing the music policies at Capital, Capital XTRA and Radio X.
