Express FM to host 48-hour radio broadcast for charity

Express FM’s station producer and breakfast host, Mason Jordan, has taken on the challenge of a 48-hour radio broadcast in aid of local charities.

He’s aiming to raise at least £1,500 to split equally between three charities – All Call Signs, Pompey in the Community, and The Portsmouth Hospitals Charity.

A team of producers will be supporting Mason over the 48-hour show, which will take place from the 30th of October to the 1st of November.

Miles Henson, Station Director, Express FM, said: “I’m delighted that Express FM continues to support the local community like no other station. This is what we are about, working together with local organisations to make a difference to the people in our Great Waterfront City.”

Mason Jordan said: “The closer we get, the more real it’s getting. I’m very nervous and imagine I’m going to need a lot of help to get through the mammoth challenge but I’m also equally excited to have a laugh on the radio but most importantly highlight these amazing local charities.”

The broadcast will be broadcast on 93.7FM, DAB, digital, and online, and listeners will be encouraged to donate via the expressfm.com/marathon in order to support the charities and trigger some special events on the broadcast.
