Eve Blair adds weekend show at BBC Radio Ulster

Eve Blair is to present a new lunchtime show on Saturdays on BBC Radio Ulster with entertainment, the arts and live music.

The new show begins on Saturday 4 January from 1-2pm.

The Strabane-born presenter will be broadcasting each week from the studios at BBC Radio Foyle in Londonderry.

Eve says: “I am so looking forward to presenting this new show, as there is so much brilliant local and visiting talent from the North West and across Northern Ireland, and I can’t wait to feature them on the show, as well as playing some good music and finding out what listeners are up to and planning for the weekend ahead.”

She will continue to present The Late Show With Eve Blair from Monday to Thursdays on BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Sounds from 11pm-midnight.

Truly the best late night music show on the radio presented by a lady who clearly loves music and cares about her listeners.Promotes new artists and plays such a vast range of music new and old. Have been introduced to so much great material I never knew was out there. This is the whole point of radio for me and all the familiar voices on these pages that say radio stations and shows and presenters like Eve should not be around and we should instead be bombarded by the likes of what Global et all put out how totally wrong you are. Take a listen, be educated and as commercial radio is now doomed in this country pray that at least BBC Radio survives. Eve is one of the best examples of why it has to and congratulations to her on this new show which I know she will use to bring to our attention to more great music.
