Living locally I listened to Spire FM at the beginning and always found it a unique station. Could never understand why they didn’t extend the 30 minute news segment “Spire Reports” at 06:00 across breakfast (with Chris Carnegie and a news reporter). The station seemed to segue tunes back to back and the “Gibbs Mew” challenge was initiate for a Sunday evening. Never understood why they took the GWR feed and never inserted anything In the gaps and no local news at the weekend forced me to move to BBC Wiltshire where I remain.
