Heart is playing a new game over the next few months which will see one listener win a million pounds.
Heart’s Make Me A Millionaire will run for 11 weeks on Breakfast and come to its conclusion on Thursday May 7th just before Bank Holiday Friday.
Breakfast presenters Jamie Theakston & Amanda Holden will give listeners the chance to win a daily cash prize by identifying when a specific artist is played on air.
They will then have to choose whether to keep the money or go into the draw to win one million pounds.
Amanda Holden said: “This is so exciting – we’re so thrilled to kick off the biggest game on the radio! Thanks to Heart, one amazing listener will walk away with an incredible one million pounds… bring on the final!”
Jamie Theakston added: “This is the largest amount of money we’ve ever given away to one listener on Heart. This is life-changing cash, making an instant millionaire – we can’t wait to make and meet the lucky winner!
The competition is being run on all Heart stations owned by Global and Communicorp.

After making several million more by getting its gullible audience to ring a premium rate phone number.
Well said
Boring isn’t it!!
The trouble is, you have to listen to heart radio
and then have to meet Jamie and Amanda.
That’s generally how hours-builders work.
11 weeks of winners – even if it’s one a day that’s a 55/1 chance of winning the big pot. Would you risk even £1000 for the chance of a million? Be funny if most people keep the cash.
I thought commercial adio was loss making. If Global can afford to give away one million pounds then put it back into quality local programming!
The competition will be funded by premium rate texts and a headline sponsor. The idea is to boost hours.
The best way to boost hours is to provide quality programming and a less repetative playlist. They shouldn’t need such a competition of these factors were in place.
and rip of the listeners.
OK £1 million pounds!! Why not give it to Global’s make some noise charity?
