Representatives of Wireless and Global are to give evidence to a House of Lords committee looking at the future of journalism.
Jimmy Buckland, Wireless Director of Strategy and Managing Director at Wireless Studios, and Global’s Chief Strategy Officer Will Harding will appear before the virtual session on Tuesday 12th May at 4pm.
The House of Lords Communications and Digital Committee is conducting a review into the future of journalism, and this meeting will examine commercial radio in the UK and its role as a news provider, explore funding for innovative news organisations and discuss the challenges and opportunities for smaller organisations.
The committee says questions are likely to include an exploration of how digital technologies have changed the production and consumption of commercial radio.
The session will be held via Zoom and can be followed at www.parliamentlive.tv.
