Joe Wicks will attempt to workout for 24 hours in aid of Children in Need on BBC Radio 2 this year.
Appearing on Thursday’s Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, Joe announced his 24 Hour PE Challenge will start at 9.25am on Thursday 12 November, endeavouring to finish a day later at 9.25am on Friday 13 November.
Joe will be at the BBC Studios in London and viewers can watch live on the Red Button and BBC iPlayer across the 24 hours.
The final moments of Joe’s challenge on the morning of the BBC Children in Need Appeal day, from 9.05am-9.25am, will stream live on YouTube with schools up and down the country joining.
And on Radio 2 (Saturday 24 October) and BBC Sounds for the following 30 days in Joe Wicks’ BBC Children in Need Workout Playlist, Joe will bring listeners an hour of tunes designed to get them moving.
Helen Thomas, Head of BBC Radio 2, says: “Joe’s efforts to keep the nation fit this year have been awe-inspiring, so we were thrilled when he accepted our challenge to work out for 24 hours to raise funds for BBC Children in Need.”
Joe Wicks says: “2020 has been a challenging year for us all, so what better way to end it than by raising money for BBC Children in Need, a charity very close to my heart.
“Please show your support by donating whatever you can to this brilliant charity, and get involved by tuning in to work out with me and post your pictures on social media.”
