Wolverhampton’s WCR FM to apply for small-scale DAB licence

Community station WCR FM is to apply for the new small-scale DAB multiplex for the city of Wolverhampton.

Wolverhampton DAB Ltd has been established by WCR FM station director Chris Allen with the help of Niocast Digital, Credible Media and radio executive Chris Hurst.

“WCR FM has been around since 1986 in one form or another,” says Chris Allen. “And we’ve been planning the move to DAB for some time now. We’re looking forward to the quality that DAB will deliver and being able to reach lots more listeners.

“We want to hear from stations interested in having their radio service carried on the multiplex to make contact via the form on our website at WolverhamptonDAB.co.uk”.
