Scott Mills won’t start his new BBC Radio 2 afternoon show till October 31st meaning OJ Borg will cover the former Steve Wright in the Afternoon slot for the next four weeks.
The date was announced on Tuesday afternoon, when Owain Wyn Evans was also announced as the new early breakfast show presenter.
Scott will start the BBC Audio production over two months after leaving BBC Radio 1, and be on-air each weekday from 2pm till 4pm.
Scott says: “A brand new era begins for me at my new home, BBC Radio 2. In an attempt to scare me even more, the bosses have decided my very first show is on Halloween!
“Join me every day for the best music and let’s switch off from the world for a couple of hours and have a laugh.”
OJ Borg started covering the afternoon slot on Monday to a mixed reaction from listeners on Twitter – with feedback also coming from a fellow radio presenter.
OJ returned the snoop by listening to and commenting on a radio show hosted by the aforementioned listener. Both tweets have since been deleted.
The power of getting on.
Me and @Essentialrhythm have chatted – we've both deleted our tweets.
The world needs more fun and less anger. I need to learn that as much as anyone.
