BBC Radio Gloucestershire breakfast show presenter Mark Cummings has announced he’s leaving the BBC after 40 years in radio.
Mark shared the news with his listeners saying he’s leaving the industry a couple of years earlier than he planned but is lucky to be moving to another job he loves in another industry.
He added he decided not to apply for his own job when put at risk of redundancy, and he’ll be going in July this year.
Mark has been on the air for 30 years in Gloucestershire – 18 on breakfast at the BBC.
The radio station tweeted to say they will miss him.
Anna King also announced she will be leaving the station last week after 37 years.
