Howard Pearce is joining Radio Victory to present afternoon shows on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
He joins as the Hampshire DAB and online station gets ready for the 50th anniversary celebrations of the original Radio Victory’s launch in October.
Howard was at Radio Victory as a teenager when it first launched, before moving on to other stations including Radio Luxembourg, BBC Radio 2 and Virgin Radio.
Howard says: “Joining Victory again feels like coming home. There’s real purpose behind what they’re building – a proper appreciation for what made the original station so special, and a drive to bring that spirit back in a modern way.
“I look back on my early days at Radio Victory with real warmth. It taught me so much about the craft of radio and its connection to the community. The new sound is spot on – classic jingles, music that fits me perfectly, and a few familiar voices already in the mix.”
Neil Crespin, Victory PD commented: “Once again, we are delighted to welcome back another of the original Victory team. Having a presenter of Howard’s experience join us, strengthens an already strong line-up.
“It reinforces our commitment to building a station shaped by the golden era of radio – the way many people remember it at its best.”
