Former Stray FM Managing Director Sarah Barry has joined Your Harrogate as Managing Director, returning to a senior role in local radio.
Sarah will oversee the day to day management of Your Harrogate and work with the wider team across the Harrogate district, Skipton and Ilkley.
Current Managing Director Adam Daniel is moving into a new role as CEO, where he will focus on commercial growth and further expansion of the group.
Adam previously worked alongside Sarah at Stray FM and said: “I’m delighted to welcome Sarah to the Your Harrogate team, having previously had the pleasure of working alongside her at Stray FM.”
Sarah began her career in advertising sales at the Yorkshire Post before joining Stray FM in 1994. She later held management roles across commercial radio in Yorkshire before returning to Stray FM as Managing Director.
During her time there, the station expanded into the Yorkshire Dales and developed into a multimedia business, while Sarah also founded the area’s annual Local Hero Awards.
She went on to spend five years as Managing Director of Harrogate Town AFC before joining Your Harrogate.
Sarah said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Your Harrogate.”
