The BBC’s Americast has entered the first ten in Edison Research at SSRS’s latest UK podcast ranker after climbing ten places since Q4 last year.
Meanwhile, BBC Newscast has moved into the first five places in the UK list for Q1 2026.
Global’s The News Agents is in 8th place, whilst Fella Studios’ Saving Grace, now under the Global banner, is 14th.
The Edison Podcast Metrics chart is based on reach among weekly podcast consumers aged 15 and over. The Joe Rogan Experience remains first, followed by The Diary Of A CEO with Steven Bartlett and The Rest Is Politics.
The Rest Is History stays fourth, with Newscast up two places to fifth. The Rest Is Football is sixth, That Peter Crouch Podcast slips two places to seventh, The News Agents rises five places to eighth, Americast is ninth and Crime Junkie completes the first ten.
Edison said Newscast and Americast both covered stories including the Iran War, Maduro’s capture and ICE protests in the US during the quarter.
Sport also made gains in the latest ranking, with The Overlap and Stick to Football both reaching their highest positions on record.
ZOE Science and Nutrition entered the first 25 for the first time after climbing 86 places. The show was nominated for an iHeart best branded podcast award in 2026, and was also in the spotlight after the ASA upheld a ban on a ZOE advert which claimed its supplement was “just real food”.
Mel Robbins also entered the UK first 25, following her inclusion as a TIME 2026 Woman of the Year in March.
