Online station 80’s Heaven is introducing a new podcast series featuring interviews with music stars from the decade.
Every two weeks, Programme Director Shaun Tilley will host conversations with well-known artists, exploring their career milestones and personal memories from the 1980s.
The first episode, available on all podcast platforms this Friday from 6pm, features Howard Jones as the opening guest.
Howard will discuss how he managed nerves during his first Top of the Pops appearance and the influence of record company pressures on his songwriting. He will also reflect on performing at Live Aid after missing out on Band Aid, and share stories about his mother responding to fan mail during his rise in America.
Subscribers to the 80’s Heaven Mixcloud channel will have exclusive access to versions of the podcast that include music from each featured artist.
Future guests on the series will include Holly Johnson, Matt Goss, Samantha Fox, Sinitta, Limahl, Paul Young, Kevin Rowland, Dr Robert Howard, Martyn Ware from Heaven 17, Pauline Black, Woody from Madness, and others.
