Bauer Media has been chosen to lead a new Creative Industries Sector Hub for London, supported by the Greater London Authority over the next three years.
The hub will be run by Bauer Academy in partnership with the National Theatre, UKFT and CineCertified, aiming to become a central resource for the capital’s creative sector.
It will connect employers, education providers and industry organisations to address skills shortages, support career progression and create clearer pathways into creative industries.
The programme will serve businesses, freelancers, education providers and learners, offering practical guidance and strengthening industry partnerships to help ensure London’s creative workforce is prepared for the future.
Initially, the hub will focus on pilot programmes with the GLA and industry partners, before expanding to include curriculum development, employer engagement, apprenticeship and careers support, and signposting to training and employment opportunities.
Industry collaboration will be central, with the hub working closely with employers and freelancers to research current and emerging skills needs and shape future training provision.
Bauer Academy will recruit a dedicated team to deliver the programme, working with stakeholders across London’s creative economy to develop initiatives that respond to industry needs.
Simon Myciunka, President Audio and CEO of Bauer Media Audio UK, said the hub will help build a stronger, more resilient workforce for the future.
Howard Dawber, Deputy Mayor for Business and Growth, said the hub will help tackle skills shortages and strengthen career pathways in the sector.
The Creative Industries Sector Hub is already operating and is one of three new sector hubs being set up across London.
