Ewen and Cat launch school concert prize draw

STV Radio’s Ewen Cameron and Cat Harvey are offering a live pop concert for one Scottish school as part of a new prize draw supporting the STV Children’s Appeal.

The presenters  announced the initiative on their Breakfast Show this morning. The prize will see some of Scotland’s musical talent perform exclusively at the winning school’s assembly hall later this year.

Schools across mainland Scotland can enter by registering on the STV Children’s Appeal website and hosting a fundraising event for the Big Scottish Breakfast campaign.

The draw closes at 5pm on 11th September. The campaign, run in partnership with Kellogg’s, encourages people to share breakfast and raise funds for school breakfast clubs.

Kellogg’s will match every £1 raised up to £50,000, with all proceeds supporting efforts to tackle child hunger in Scotland.

To promote the campaign, Ewen and Cat joined local children for a Big Scottish Breakfast, discussing which artists might headline the concert.

Ewen said they had a great morning launching the draw and encouraged children to tell their teachers about it.

Cat added that a pop concert in a school assembly hall would be memorable and that every penny raised will help support breakfast clubs.

Only one entry per school is allowed, and entries must be submitted by authorised staff. Find full terms and conditions at stv.tv/appeal.
