Global Academy has announced that 88% of its Year 13 students achieved Merit or above in creative and digital qualifications, with 47% securing a Distinction.
A Distinction is equivalent to the highest A-Level grades, and these results reflect the Academy’s focus on combining academic study with practical, industry-based learning for careers in media and the creative sector.
Students on the UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology (Journalism and Business) achieved a 100% Merit or above rate, with 64% gaining Distinctions.
The UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Practice: Art, Design and Communication saw 93% Merit or above, and 57% Distinctions.
T Level students also performed well, with 78% achieving Merit or above, and the Digital pathway achieving 100%.
The Academy’s post-18 UAL Level 4 Professional Diploma in Creative Enterprise saw 68% of students awarded Distinction.
Principal James Murray-Walsh said the results reflect the ambition and determination of students, and that combining specialist teaching with industry experience helps young people realise their potential.
James added that as the Government focuses more on vocational training, the Academy’s approach prepares students for higher education, apprenticeships, or direct entry into the creative industries.
