Ouse Valley Radio has resumed broadcasting on 104FM across Huntingdonshire after relocating its transmitter to a new site.
The station had been off FM for six weeks due to the demolition of its previous transmission building.
Chief Executive Officer Tony Obee described the return as the result of significant technical and financial work, including rebuilding transmission infrastructure with support from the new site owners and volunteer engineers.
During the FM outage, Ouse Valley Radio continued to broadcast online, on smart speakers, and through its mobile app.
Tony acknowledged the patience of listeners and stakeholders, highlighting that their loyalty was important in maintaining the station during the downtime.
Station Manager Pete Singleton said the team is pleased to be back on FM for those who prefer traditional radio and is now focusing on improving technical resilience as the station continues to develop as a community broadcaster in the Ouse Valley region.
