Sixteen apprentices will join Bauer Media teams through a new programme offering paid entry routes into the media industry.
Bauer Academy has launched Amplify for people starting their careers, with roles available across Audio UK and Audio Europe wide functions.
Apprentices will work in content, communications, finance, data and technology while contributing to projects across Bauer Media’s markets.
Previous media experience is not required, with assessment centres focusing instead on applicants’ potential, capabilities and skills that can be developed.
The programme combines paid employment with structured learning, mentoring, coaching and practical experience alongside existing Bauer Media employees.
Courtnay McLeod, Managing Director of Bauer Academy, said: “Amplify is a prime example of where talent meets opportunity. It has been designed to give people entering the media sector the genuine development, care and support they need to grow, succeed and feel they belong.”
Courtnay said the programme is the first step towards creating dedicated talent pathways within Bauer Media and opening access to the next generation.
Elaine Bremner, Global HR Director at Bauer Media Audio, said Amplify was an investment in the future of both the company and the wider industry.
She added that providing accessible routes requiring no previous experience would help Bauer Media attract young people with different backgrounds, perspectives and potential.
Amplify forms part of Bauer Academy’s work to develop diverse talent pipelines and improve access to media careers regardless of an applicant’s background or previous experience.
