Riviera Relax, a new sister station to Monaco-based Riviera Radio has launched today on 106.3FM.
The new station is using the Monaco frequency for Riviera Radio to launch a brand-extension playing Your Relaxing Music Mix, with Smooth Radio’s Paul Phear on daytimes.
His show will run from 10am to 2pm, while the station will broadcast around the clock with a slower-paced music mix. The playlist will draw on older and newer tracks from artists including Whitney Houston, George Michael, Phil Collins, Mariah Carey, Elton John and Adele.
Riviera Relax will sit alongside Riviera Radio, which will continue its more upbeat English-language service. Both stations will broadcast from Monaco across the principality and the South of France, including Nice, Cannes, Antibes and St Tropez, and stream worldwide.
Riviera Radio’s main frequency of 106.5 continues to cover the French Riviera, including Nice, Cannes, Antibes, and St. Tropez, and both stations are on DAB.

Paul Kavanagh, Managing Director of Riviera Radio, said the new service would give listeners “more choice and mood states”. He described its music as “a softer, more laid-back musical mood.”
