Kyle Sandilands will deliver the Monday morning keynote at Radiodays Europe 2027 in Palma, Mallorca.
The Australian broadcaster will discuss his move from commercial radio to a subscription service following the end of The Kyle and Jackie O Show and his departure from ARN in 2026.
For more than two decades, Sandilands presented the breakfast programme alongside Jackie O, creating one of Australian commercial radio’s most recognisable partnerships. The programme won multiple commercial radio awards and, at its peak, reached 797,000 listeners in Sydney each weekday morning.
Kyle subsequently launched his own subscription based programme, using a dedicated platform to deliver live radio directly to listeners.
His interview at Radiodays Europe will examine what happens when an established radio personality decides to operate without a conventional station.
Consultant and former GMG Radio exec John Simons will question him about his broadcasting career, creating live audio, developing a relationship with listeners and dealing with controversy. The conversation will also explore the lessons he has learned and his decision to adopt a different distribution model.
Radiodays Europe said the session would ask: “What happens when one of radio’s biggest personalities decides he doesn’t need a radio station?”
It will be Kyle’s second appearance at the event, following a session at Radiodays Europe in Paris in 2016.
