Global has expanded its Plus subscription service with six more podcast brands, offering ad-free listening and exclusive content through Global Player and YouTube.
James O’Brien, My Therapist Ghosted Me, The Crime Agents, The Sports Agents, The Wittering Whitehalls and Vogue & Amber are the latest shows to join the service.
The James O’Brien subscription includes ad-free access to Full Disclosure, James O’Brien Daily, The Whole Show and Mystery Hour, alongside two new series, Ask James Anything and James Reacts.
Subscribers will also receive two exclusive newsletters each month.
The Crime Agents Plus will feature monthly investigations into major criminal cases, beginning with an examination of the Lucy Letby case.
The six subscriptions join existing Plus offerings including Nick Abbot – The Whole Show and Formula 1 podcast Up To Speed.
Simon Pitts, Group CEO of Global, said: “We want to give audiences more choice to enjoy the podcasts and presenters they love, with exclusive content and new experiences alongside ad-free versions of the shows they already listen to, on Global Player and YouTube.
“And this is just the beginning. More chart-topping Global podcasts will be joining Plus very soon.”
Craig Hunter, Managing Director of Global Studios, said the subscriptions would operate like a members’ club, offering greater interaction between presenters and audiences through Q&As, additional analysis and behind-the-scenes content.
The expansion follows the launch of Radio Plus in September, which replaces advertising breaks with music across Global’s radio brands.
Global says further podcast subscriptions will be announced shortly.
