Production company USP Content – who produce 5 Live’s Formula 1 coverage as well as Absolute Radio’s Rock N Roll Football strands – have opened up a new office on Salford Quays.
The firm has taken space in The Greenhouse at MediaCityUK, just round the corner from 5 Live’s new home at the BBC’s Quay House.
As well as radio commissions, USP Content do broadcast PR and produce brnaded content for radio and TV, podcasts, vodcasts and live webcasts – including running HMV’s in-store radio service. The company already owns and operates a studio complex on Gresse Street in London’s Soho.
Rob Jones, Managing Director of USP Content said: “We pride ourselves on our client relationships and so as the BBC and their media hub move north, it’s key that we expand our northern base and evolve with the changing media landscape.”
Stephen Wild, managing director at MediaCityUK added: “USP Content provides a key service to our anchor tenant BBC North, so it makes natural sense for them to have a presence here at MediaCityUK. The Greenhouse is steadily becoming a thriving base for creative and media-related companies and we look forward to welcoming more businesses to our community.”
A number of other production companies are based in the new office development too – including Steve Coogan’s Baby Cow company.
