RadioToday understands that Dave Lee Travis will not be going back on air on the Magic network of AM stations, following his conviction for indecent assault.
DLT was given a suspended jail sentence today, after being found guilty earlier this week of an assault on a young woman in 1995.
Judge Anthony Leonard at Southwark Crown Court sentenced him to three months in prison, suspended for two years. The judge said: “It was an intentional and unpleasant sexual assault. You took advantage of a young woman in a vulnerable position whose job it was to look after you that day.”
Travis – real name David Griffin – was suspended by Bauer after he was arrested in 2012. RadioToday understands that his contract has since expired and has not been renewed.
A spokeswoman for Bauer told RadioToday: “We will not comment on this legal matter.”
