Australian sports broadcaster Tiffany Cherry has been unveiled as Johnny Vaughan’s co-host for Absolute Radio’s daily show to run throughout the Olympic Games.
Tiffany may be a relative unknown in the UK, but the former international triathlete’s career has seen her travel the world competing, commentating and following her love of sport.
Johnny and Tiffany’s first live show takes place on the day of the Olympic Opening Ceremony – July 27th – and is an independent production for Absolute Radio by Somethin’ Else.
Tony Moorey, Content Director at Absolute Radio said “We know that Johnny is at the top of his game, and having had a preview of how he and Tiffany are sounding together I know that Johnny’s show will be one of the most exciting new shows on radio for a long time. The dynamic Johnny enjoys with Tiffany, coupled with the drama, emotion and spectacle of the Olympic Games means we can’t wait for July 27th.”
Throughout the games, Johnny Vaughan and Tiffany Cherry will be interviewing famous comedians, musicians, presenters and Olympians, reflecting the big events, the obscure sports and the day’s talking points on and off the track. All of this will be accompanied by exclusive music performances, in keeping with Absolute Radio’s live credentials.
Beginning on the day of the Opening Ceremony, Vaughan and Tiffany will broadcast from 5pm to 7pm on Absolute Radio and repeated across the entire Absolute Radio Network one hour later from 6-8pm, complete with music normally aired on their respective stations.
