GMG Radio appoints Group Marketing Manager

Helen Dickinson has been appointed Group Marketing Manager for Guardian Media Group Radio?s portfolio of stations. Helen will manage the brand development of the division?s five regional Real Radio, Smooth FM and JAZZFM stations. She has been promoted into the new role from her position as Marketing Manager for the group?s Real Radio network.

Among her first tasks in the new group role, will be to manage the successful creative rebrand of London?s 102.2 JAZZFM to Smooth FM in June this year.

Reporting to Group Operations Director Shaun Bowron, Helen built her career working in advertising agencies in the north west of England. She first worked with GMG Radio Chief Executive John Myers on the launch of Century Radio in the region whilst an Account Director at JWT. She joined GMG to launch the Real Radio stations.

Helen will continue to manage the day to day relationships with the groups creative advertising agency Clear Marketing Communications and its media buying agencies Brilliant Media, Feather Brooksbank and Thomas Media Consultancy.

GMG Radio Chief Executive John Myers said: ?Helen is an extremely talented marketer and has done a fantastic job marketing the group?s Real Radio brand. I am confident that she will see similar success with Smooth FM and with implementing the groups marketing strategy in the coming year.?
