BBC Radio 1 presenter Scott Mills has released his autobiography – titled Love You Bye: My Story – and is available now.
He’s drafted in the help of former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff and ‘TV wife’ Sara Cox to create a few 2-minute-long spoof documentary clips to promote the book, which are available on YouTube.
They’ve been made by his agent Wise Buddah, where director of talent Chris North said: “Scott’s been very honest with his first autobiography and it’s been quite an intense few months for him putting his life down on paper and then working with our Content team to bring those moments to life on Youtube.”
“Love You Bye: My Story” details Scott’s journey from shy Southampton boy to host of one the UK’s most listened to radio shows. Along the way he reveals his less than straight forward route to the top, introducing tales of everything from washing cars live on the radio to celebrity interviews via crippling anxiety attacks, alcohol and weight issues.
Mills said: “It was an amazing privilege to be given the chance to sit down and reflect on my life in radio so far, from the early days on the south coast to my dream job at Radio 1. It was also a lot of fun to get together with Sara Cox, Chris Stark and The Hoff to re-create some memorable highlights on YouTube.”
