UTV puts Ed Sheeran and Olly Murs on-air Christmas Day

Ed Sheeran and Olly Murs will between them host Christmas morning on UTV Media’s radio stations in England and Wales, whilst Take That are lined up for Boxing Day.
Ed Sheeran will wake up households on Christmas morning from 10am, followed by Olly Murs at 11am. The next day, ‘Take That at Christmas’ will be an hour-long special kicking off from 10am and this will be the first time the band has hosted a show as a trio.
The shows will go out on Signal in Stoke, Pulse in West Yorkshire, Tower FM in Bolton, Wish FM in Wigan and St Helens, Wire FM in Warrington, Widnes and Runcorn, Peak FM in Chesterfield, Swansea Sound and The Wave in South Wales, Radio Wave in Blackpool and Signal 107 in Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury, Oswestry, and Kidderminster.
Group Programme Director for UTV, Terry Underhill told RadioToday: “We always like to sprinkle some stardust over the Christmas period as all the stations are an intrinsic part of the Christmas celebrations in their communities. Many of them host light switch-ons and parades over the festive season, and most initiate toy drives for disadvantaged children. This year’s offering of A-list of stars getting behind the mic will bring some festive spirit to our output and we know our listeners will love it.”
